Patient Pre-Operative Instructions
Pre-Operative Instructions
Preoperative testing is required before this procedure. It is important for all of your testing to be completed at least 72 hours prior to your surgery date. All results should be faxed to our Pre-admission Center at 410-427-2060. If possible bring a copy of your history and physical, lab work, and any other test done. Please call 410-337-1058 if you have any questions.
Check with your primary doctor regarding which medications should be taken the day of surgery. Please bring all your medications with you. It is helpful to write down all your medications, the dosage, and frequency of the medications that you take on a regular basis.
Do not eat anything after 12 midnight the night before surgery. This includes gum, lifesavers, candy and mints. You may take your medications the day of surgery with a small sip of water if your doctor has told you to take them.
Parking is available in the O'Dea Garage or the surface lot across from the temporary main entrance.
