Update on Cool Comeback Dad
Joseph Roberts, whose heart stopped while he was at his son’s soccer game last fall, is a convert to the benefits of St. Joseph’s CV (cardiovascular) Fitness. He’s lost weight, is eating heart-healthy, has improved his stamina, and continues to work as a bricklayer. Roberts’ near-fatal heart attack occurred at Loyola-Blakefield High School’s athletic field. Loyola Physical Education Director Don Kraft gave Roberts CPR, while trainer Jeremy Parr administered the school’s AED (automated external defibrillator) to restart Roberts’ heart. Roberts was rushed to St. Joseph, where emergency and cardiac teams saved his life. (His story was featured in the winter ’09 Housecall magazine). To find out more about CV Fitness, call 410-337-1366.
