Description of Programs

Health Programs
AARP Driver Safety Program
Two-day classroom course designed to increase the knowledge of safe driving skills of the mature driver. Held six times a year. Fee $10
Annual Influenza (Flu) Immunizations
Offered Every fall/winter season depending on supply
Beautiful Skin, Beautiful You© Teen Workshop
Adolescent skin health education for girls ages 13-15 years to help prevent skin cancer in later life. Lunch, makeup consultation and giveaways included. Fee $25. Registration required. Held four times a year.
CPR Training Classes
Held monthly. Each month is a different type of class. Registration required. Types of classes are:
- Heartsaver CPR
For the lay rescuer needing certification (i.e. lifeguards, daycare and security personnel, etc.)
- CPR for the Healthcare Provider
For physicians, nurses, etc. needing certification.
- Infant and Child CPR
Crohn's and Colitis Support Group
For family and friends of adults diagnosed with Crohn's disease or Ulcerative Colitis.
Health Topics of Interest Lectures
Held monthly.
Men's Health Issues/Women's Health Issues
Lectures designed to keep men and women healthy.
Fresh Start
A six-week smoking cessation program designed to help adults stop smoking quickly and stay stopped. Registration required
RAISE
Required Adolescent Intensive Smoking Education helps teens break the formation of a lifelong addiction. Registration required for this three-part series. Sliding scale fee.
Yoga classes
Types include Hatha, Senior, ABCD (After Breast Cancer Diagnosis), Menopause, and Yoga for Women. Call for fee.
