Information:
Patient Information Services provides service for incoming calls to the medical center. Information desk personnel will locate patient room numbers and provide discharge dates to physicians and visitors. Also, small parcels and letters may be dropped off and picked up from the information desk between 7:00 a.m.- 8:30 p.m.
Patient Information Services provides special telephones for hearing-impaired patients and TDD (telecommunication device for the deaf) access. TDD access is available at 410-337-1671. Interpreters for the hearing impaired (American Sign Language) are available through staff members by contacting the medical center phone operator (0). Sign interpreters must be scheduled in advance. This service is free of charge.
Translation services for non-English speaking persons are provided by the American Telephone and Telegraph Corporation. This service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There are no restrictions on the length or number of requests for translation calls. This service is strictly confidential and no records of conversations are kept. Contact the medical center operator (0) to obtain a translator. This service is free of charge.
